Cookie Policy

This policy explains what the Holda website stores on your device, why, and how you control it. It covers the website at holda.life only — the Holda mobile app is covered by our Privacy Policy.

What We Currently Store

This website sets no cookies. It uses two entries in your browser's local storage, both of which are strictly necessary and exempt from the consent requirement under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (Article 129 of the Belgian Electronic Communications Act of 13 June 2005):

  • holda-lang — the language you chose (French, Dutch or English), so we do not ask you again on every page. Stored until you clear your browser data.
  • holda-consent — the choices you made in the cookie banner, together with a timestamp and a policy version number, so we can honour them and prove they were given. Stored until you clear your browser data or change your choices.

Neither entry is transmitted to us or to anyone else. Both live only in your browser.

Categories in the Banner

The banner offers three categories. Two of them are currently empty — we ask about them so that the moment we do introduce a tool, it cannot run before you have said yes.

  • Strictly necessary — the two entries described above. Always active; they cannot be switched off because the site cannot work without them.
  • Analytics — measurement of how the site is used, in aggregate. None in use today. Off unless you switch it on.
  • Marketing — measurement of how our campaigns perform. None in use today. Off unless you switch it on.

Third-Party Content

Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). This does not set a cookie, but it does mean your IP address is sent to Google in order to serve the font files. We are working to serve these files from holda.life instead.

The Google Play badge links to Google Play. Following that link takes you to Google, where Google's own terms and cookie practices apply.

Changing or Withdrawing Your Choices

Select Cookie preferences at the bottom of any page to reopen the banner and change your choices. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and takes effect immediately. You can also delete the stored entries at any time by clearing site data in your browser settings.

When We Will Ask Again

If we add a new tool, or change what an existing category covers, we increase the policy version number. Your previous answer no longer applies and the banner reappears, so you are always consenting to the current set — never to something introduced afterwards.
